AUC Suspends Fort Macleod Service Area Transfer to FortisAlberta

The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) suspended proceeding 23702 regarding the Town of Fort Macleod’s (Fort Macleod) Service Area transfer to FortisAlberta (Fortis) until a decision is made on a pending generic inquiry proceeding.

FortisAlberta’s Purchase Price for REA and Municipal Electrical Assets

In December of 2016, FortisAlberta and the municipality of Crowsnest Pass applied to the AUC for approval of the sale of the municipality’s distribution assets to Fortis Alberta for a purchase price of $3.7 million.
