Court of Appeal of Alberta Decisions on DCG Credits

The Court of Appeal of Alberta has decided[1] to allow an application for an appeal of AUC Decision 26090-D01-2021. In this decision, the AUC decided that distribution tariff credits for DCGs (distribution connected generators) should be phased out.

Court of Appeal Decision: Alberta vs ENMAX Energy Corporation  

On April 26, 2018 the Court of Appeal of Alberta issued a decision related to the amount of interest a company can charge it’s affiliates given that the interest amount can be applied as a deduction against PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) charges.

ATCO Electric Appeal to Recover Transmission Line Insurance Costs

The Alberta Court of Appeal has denied ATCO Electric leave to appeal the AUC’s decision regarding the inclusion of transmission line insurance costs in their rate application. ATCO Electric had included the cost of third party insurance in their 2015-2017 GTA application revenue requirement, but the Commission denied recovery of those costs.
